Through the Eyes of a Prisoner
Through the Eyes series Book 3
A Novel
Paul was an unlikely candidate to become the apostle to the Gentiles … until the day he unexpectedly encountered Jesus. You are probably familiar with that part of his story, and perhaps much of what transpired in his life after that. But two-thirds of his life story is not recorded in detail, though Paul gives us some hints in his letters.
God is always at work in our lives; often before we realize it. The same can be said of Paul. Through this fictional novel, we’ll explore how God may have used those unrecorded portions of his life to prepare him for the mission that was being set before him. We’ll follow him from his early years in Tarsus through his final days in Rome.
Throughout those years, Paul spent more time in a prison cell than we are ever told. It was a place where God continued to work in and through him. The mission never stopped because he was in prison; it simply took on a different form. The same is true of us. Our circumstances may change, but the mission doesn’t. Allow yourself to be challenged as you experience a story of God’s mission – through the eyes of a prisoner who ran the race that was put before him – and the faithfulness of God through it all.
A few comments from readers:
I have read Acts many times over the last 30 years, but this book has given me deeper insight about Paul's life and his sacrifices to advance Christ's kingdom. – Karen
The apostle Paul is a tough character to understand. He started out hunting down believers and through his confrontation, conversion, and discipleship by Jesus became the hunted. This book fills in some of the white spaces of Paul’s life and ministry, with reverent fiction, and helped me better understand him and his writings in a clear personal way. – Larry
I am in the middle of a Bible Study in Romans and parts of Acts. As I read this book so many parts of Scripture became so much more vivid. – Connie
I found it easy to read and it was fun to get lost in the story and assume a perspective you would not get from Scripture alone. – Bill
This book challenged me in so many ways and encouraged me to finish the race the Lord has set before me with wholehearted devotion, love and honor to Jesus Christ and to His mission on earth. – Leslie
