i am pleased to announce that my first novel, Through the Eyes of a Shepherd, will release on Friday, September 20, 2019.
This work is a fictional novel set in the midst of true events. At its core, it is a story of redemption. A fictional storyline has been created to weave certain parts of the narrative together. The narrator and main character of the story – the shepherd Shimon – is fictional, as are the members of his family. However, the principal character of this novel is the Lord Jesus Christ. The story begins prior to His incarnational birth and concludes on the Day of Pentecost. You will recognize many of the other characters that have been included in the storyline from the Gospel accounts of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.
My goal – and my prayer – in writing this novel is that you, as the reader, see Jesus – and the events that surrounded His incarnational life and ministry – through the eyes and the life of a shepherd – one who first saw Him as He laid in a manger, and one whose life was forever transformed as a result.
Through the Eyes of a Shepherd
COMING September 20, 2019
Shimon was a shepherd boy when he first saw the newborn King in a Bethlehem stable. Join him in his journey as he re-encounters the Lamb of God at the Jordan, and follows the Miracle Worker through the wilderness, the Messiah to the cross, and the Risen Savior from the upper room. Though Shimon is a fictional character, we’ll see the pages of the Gospels unfold through his eyes, and experience a story of redemption – the redemption of a shepherd – and the redemption of each one who chooses to follow the Good Shepherd.
Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the Great Shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, equip you with everything good that you may do His will, working in us that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever.
