My MAY NEWSLETTER to my readers’ group
May 15, 2024
Dear Reader,
Greetings from Richmond, Virginia!
Almost six years have passed since i began this writing adventure. i am currently working on my twenty-seventh book in the journey—which is really hard for me to believe! i am mindful that the Lord gave me this promise when the journey began, and He has continued to prove Himself to be faithful. Whatever your path looks like, allow me to encourage you to trust Him to take the curves and the swerves that appear to be looming in your path ahead and make them straight!
Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own
understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
and He will make straight your paths.
Proverbs 3:5-6 ESV
Here are updates on three of the projects from my writing desk this month which i pray will be an encouragement to you.
**1. A Follower Called Mark is now released in print and for your Kindle! **
This 11th book in The Called series released yesterday. It’s been almost a year since the 10th book about Nehemiah released, so i am thrilled for you to read this latest installment in the series.
This story, about one who was entrusted by God to share the Good News of His Son in the Gospel that bears his name, is both familiar and untold. In this first-person narrative, you will explore the life of this ordinary man God chose to use in extraordinary ways. Discover the untold chapters of his journey, the struggles and triumphs that shaped his faith, and the legacy he left behind.
For your convenience, i’ve added these links so you can order the book in the version you prefer:
**2. This week’s blog post and podcast episode: An Unlikely Witness **
In light of this week’s release of my book about Mark, i decided to share the first chapter of the book on this week’s episode. You’ve probably read the two verses in Mark (14:51-52) that make mention of this unlikely witness, but i hope this post will challenge you to have his boldness to be a witness of what we have seen and heard about Jesus. By the way, you can hear Mark tell his own story in the audio rendering of the first chapter on the podcast.
**3. A Belated Discovery releases June 14th**
The saga of the Fearsithe family continues in this second novel in The Parables series. The prologue of the book picks up right where Gene’s journey ended in An Elusive Pursuit. Now you’ll get to read not only what happened with Gene, but also the adventurous journey of his son, Bobby.
Showing the same determination and boldness of his father, Bobby enlists in the army on December 15, 1941, to fight for his family, his friends, and his neighbors. Set in the background of Europe in World War II and the post-war years of 1945 and 1946 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania and Richmond, Virginia, he discovers along the way just who his neighbor truly is, in this modern day telling of the parable of the Good Samaritan.
i thought it would be appropriate for this book to release on Flag Day—June 14th! It will be available for Kindle and in print in paperback, large print and as a hardcover. i am also hoping to release it as an audiobook on or about that same day. You can pre-order a copy for your Kindle today.
Thank you for your support of my books, my weekly blog posts and podcast episodes. i pray they encourage you in your walk with the Master.
As always, feel free to reach out with any questions, feedback, or simply to say hello.

But these are written so that you may continue to believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing in Him you will have life by the power of His name. John 20:31 (NLT)
