My JUNE NEWSLETTER to my readers’ group
June 12, 2024
Dear Reader,
Greetings from Richmond, Virginia!
In recent weeks, the Lord has repeatedly led me to His account of the Good Samaritan in the 10th chapter of the Gospel of Luke. It is a passage that is familiar to most, if not all, of us. In light of God’s command that we are to “love your neighbor,” it is Jesus’s response to the question—"who is my neighbor?” Jesus concludes His account with these words:
“Which of these three, do you think, proved to be a neighbor to the man who fell among the robbers?” The lawyer said, “The one who showed him mercy.” And Jesus said to him, “You go, and do likewise.”
Luke 10:36-37 ESV
In a world that is steadily becoming more divided and “non-neighborly,” i believe it behooves us to revisit that timeless truth. Thus is the purpose of the projects on my writing desk this month.
