For those of us living today, we live in a place between the “already” and the “not yet.”
Oneness
Have you ever felt completely separated from God with pain, fear, and anxiety setting into your heart in a way you just couldn’t shake?
No Detail Is Too Small
We serve a God and follow a Master who knows exactly what tomorrow holds—and He has a perfect plan and path for us—down to the last detail, if we will but ask!
Who Gave Jesus the Right?
And as His followers, we too have “the right”—and the mandate—to proclaim His truth boldly.
Perilous Times
Even in the midst of the perilous times that surround us we can embrace the hope we have through the promises and assurance Jesus gave to His disciples—and through them, to us.
In the Coming Days
The days should come as no surprise.
The Greatest Commandment
As we begin this new year, let’s be reminded of the commandment which Jesus declared to be the most important.
Walking Through a Vineyard With Jesus
It all comes down to a relationship with a person – the Person of the Vine!
The Withered Fig Tree
In one day, a tree which had given the appearance of health had withered and died. There is much we can learn from that dead tree.
The Talents
The extraordinary way God intends to work through each of us is not dependent upon which gifts or talents He has given us.
John’s Epilogue
Unlike the other three Gospel writers, the apostle John added an epilogue.
Suddenly He Appeared
Somehow Jesus’ followers were not looking for Him to rise from the dead. They had forgotten His promise to return. If it was true of them, what can the rest of us learn from them?
A Fresh Encounter
As Peter, John and Mary Magdalene made their way back to the empty tomb, they didn’t do so expecting that Jesus had risen from the dead. But soon they would each have a fresh encounter with Him. We, too, would do well to go back to the empty tomb and experience a fresh encounter with Jesus!
Not Until They Came
Have you ever done something because you knew you were supposed to do it, even though you didn’t really know why you were doing it? Or maybe you thought you were doing it for one reason, only to later discover that God obviously had a completely different reason in mind. If that’s the case, you’re in very good company!
Who is Greatest?
The age in which we live often prompts us to ask the question, “What’s in it for me?” We can, at times, find ourselves preoccupied with making sure that we are receiving our just rewards for our effort. We can even do so as it relates to our relationship with God.
Apart from Jesus
Jesus knew that left to our own devices we would fail. That is why He sent His Helper – His Holy Spirit. Because apart from Him we can do nothing!
The Hour Will Come
God’s timing is perfect. It always has been and it always will be. He is eternal. He’s not constrained by such things as time or space. Time is as much His creation as we are.
The Lesson of the Fig Tree
Something tells me there was a whole lot more to what happened that morning than what meets the eye!
Even When It Doesn’t Make Sense
No matter what we face today … even when it doesn’t make any sense … may “Spirit, lead us” be our cry!
Impeculiar
Take it from the woman whose deed will be remembered wherever the Good News is preached and allow your worship of Jesus to become impeculiar!
